BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Travel and Tourism (QCF)

This course is for those wishing to further develop their skills and knowledge required for a career in the Travel and Tourism industry. It can lead on to employment or higher level courses such as a university degree or BTEC Higher National Certificate or Diploma (HNC/HND). 

Course Content

To obtain the BTEC Diploma, students must complete all four mandatory units and the eight specialist units.

  • 3  The UK as a Destination
  • 4  Customer Service in Travel and Tourism
     


Specialist Units (all modules are indicative and may change)

  • 5 Marketing Travel & Tourism Products & Services
  • 6 Preparing for Employment in the Travel and Tourism Industry
  • 7 European Destinations 
  • 13 Tour Operations
  • 14 Specialist Tourism
  • 15 Working as a Holiday Representative
  • 24 Airfares & Ticketing 1
  • 29 Airfares & Ticketing 2


Entry Requirements

  • 9. 5 GCSE subjects at grade C or above, preferably including maths and English
     
  • 10. BTEC First Diploma with Merit or Distinction. 
     
  • 11. Mature students are invited to apply, regardless of qualifications.
     
  • 12. International students must have IELTS Band 5.5
     

Commencement
Courses commence every: September/October, January/February and July
