GCSE Courses?
![]() At Ealing College Upper School we offer a wide range of subjects so as to provide students a good breadth of disciplines within their chosen programme. At Ealing College Upper School the path to your GCSE course commences at year 9 (age 14) where you will follow a common curriculum. In years 10 and 11 pupils follow a course leading to the Key Stage 4 GCSE examinations usually in 9 or 10 subjects, some of which are optional. At ECUS pupils study English, Maths, a foreign language (French or Spanish or Mandarin) and two or three sciences (from Chemistry, Physics and Biology). In order to study a balanced curriculum, pupils chose a “Social” subject; and either Art, Music; or a technical subject (e.g. Business studies); plus another subject.

INTENSIVE COURSES A number of courses are runs from September to November. In general it is only suitable for those students who do not want to re-sit the coursework component since the amount of time available is very little.
